Break the idea of brain hole

Interactive stations explained acoustic phenomena relating to the sense of hearing. Visitors were able to experience what structure-borne sound means and learn how sound and counter-sound cancel each other out. Other exhibits examined how Stuttgart and its districts sound at different times of the day.

The visual elements of the exhibition were deliberately designed to be as neutral as possible: black wall elements with noise-inhibiting materials, selective lighting, as few texts as possible and the conscious use of quickly understandable pictograms. The focus should be entirely on the listening and sound experience.

Introducing heboAudio’s Acoustics Lab

Interview with Henriby Heboaudio

HeboAudio’s Acoustics Lab is a dedicated space for acoustic research and experimentation, providing an optimal acoustic environment for a wide range of acoustic experiments and studies.

This lab is equipped with advanced acoustic equipment and instruments, allowing the simulation of various acoustic environments such as free-field, diffuse-field, and reverberation rooms. This enables the testing of acoustic materials and insulation structures, hearing assessments, ear protection measurements, noise source identification, aerodynamic noise research, and calibration of measurement equipment.

The Acoustics Lab is also equipped with a control room that houses testing instruments and provides a location for monitoring and controlling indicator equipment. To eliminate the interference of environmental noise and vibrations on experiments, as well as the mutual interference between laboratories, HeboAudio’s Acoustics Lab adopts a series of isolation and damping measures. For example, the laboratory may be built underground or special isolation design may be implemented such as using heavy isolation walls, isolation floors, and isolation roofs.

To ensure the accuracy and reliability of experimental results, HeboAudio’s Acoustics Lab also adopts a series of calibration measures. For example, precision measurement instruments and standard reference materials are used to regularly calibrate and verify the accuracy of experimental equipment, ensuring its reliability.

In summary, HeboAudio’s Acoustics Lab is a dedicated space for acoustic experiments and research, providing an optimal acoustic environment equipped with advanced equipment and instruments. It allows the simulation of various acoustic environments to facilitate a wide range of acoustic experiments and studies, aiming to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results with partners through close cooperation.

Sound equipment plays a vital role in expressing acoustic art. It can transmit the unique atmosphere and feeling of acoustic art through different ways.

Firstly, sound equipment can create a specific atmosphere by simulating natural sounds. For example, by using special effect processing techniques, sound equipment can restore the authenticity of natural environments such as wind, rain, bird chirps, insect chirps, etc., making the audience feel more immersed.

Secondly, sound equipment can also convey a unique artistic feeling by creating strange sound effects. By using different sound effects and sound processing techniques, sound equipment can create various strange sounds and tones, thus creating a unique atmosphere and feeling.

In addition, sound equipment can enhance the expression of acoustic art through audience interaction. For example, in some acoustic art performances, sound equipment can interact with the audience to change the sound effects and intensity, allowing the audience to participate more deeply in the expression of acoustic art.

In summary, sound equipment plays an important role in expressing acoustic art. It can simulate natural sounds, create strange sound effects, and interact with the audience to convey the unique atmosphere and feeling of acoustic art.
